New paper on truffle aroma and genetics

last year we wrote in this Blog about the several Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) that truffles synthesize and how all these VOCs can form the specific aroma of a truffle but also they are used as a communication tool with other organisms in the soil.
Now a new paper on truffle DNA  show us how the truffle genetic has it’s major rule in the synthesis of these VOCs, more than the host tree that lives associated with or the soil where it fruits.
