Burgundy truffle (Tuber uncinatum) harvest season just started, usually lasts until december. This is probably the second largest farmed truffle, specialy in north Europe, USA and Canada, although there are quite a few lacks in their life cicle knowledge. Most research has been done on black truffle, so it’s a great news the coming science conference, that will be hold on Nancy (France) from 7th-13th November.

Hi Larry,
Are you interested in just in aestivum or any other truffles? As note that the uncinatum type probably won’t fruit in South Africa, as it would probably need colder and southern areas. Due to temperatures probably they will fruit the aestivum type of lower quality.
Next Tuber aestivum conference has firms dates now and the circular will be going out this week-end.
dates 26/28th August- in Norwich, Norfolk. I will make a post next week about it.
Cheers,
Marcos
